So how do we prove to young people that Taco Bell can hang with a more leisurely lifestyle? By creating the ultimate playground for the old-at-heart, The Cantinas Early Retirement Community.

We announced the Cantinas through social, influencer partnerships and earned, with the event selling out in under 3 minutes

The Experience

We transformed a luxury golf resort in San Diego into the ultimate retirement oasis, outfitting every inch of the space in retro decor, Taco Bell easter eggs, and amazing photo opps. From pickleball to crochet to bingo, this 2-day experience had an action packed itinerary of Gen Z's favorite retiree inspired activities. To help all of our guests look their retiree best, we created a first-of-its-kind sustainable merch line of vintage and deadstock items all customized with Cantinas embroidery and patches.

CONTENT AND INFLUENCER

We worked with influencer talent like @theretirementhouse to host activities and document the entire weekend experience. We also created social content before, during and after the event.

RESULTS

3.2 Billion impressions, a 30% increase in loyalty member sign ups, and thousands of earned media placements including: the Today Show, Good Morning America, Food & Wine Magazine, Elite Daily, Business Insider, and many many more.
